- Well, from a speed point of view I had planned a partial re-write in
- assembler, and now that I`ve got Devpac3 that may just happen...
- (of course this is of little interest to diehard AMOS coders).
- Note that compared to the recursive map generator code provided
- in an Amiga Shopper (I think) from last year, my code is faster at
- generating 128*128 maps. I`ve got a HighSpeed Pascal version
- of the routines as well, which is rather fast too.......
-
- Using the routines would involve coming up with a program that
- required a landscape to be generated automatically, so things
- like Vista and Midwinter are in there.
-
- I had intended (many moons ago) to write an AMOS version of
- Vista, which is why I developed the map creation routines, but
- like so many of my programming projects it fell by the wayside
- as I became interested in something else. Apart from the
- assembler recoding I probably won`t do anything else with
- the routines myself.
